BTS' V wishes to play main lead in THIS thriller series

BTS V aka Kim Taehyung released his solo debut album titled Layover on September 8. Since then, he has been buay promoting the same. Recently, the K-pop idol joined singer IU on her show IU's Palette and shared his future plans for acting. For the unversed, BTS member V made his acting debut with the 2016 series Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth.

BTS V wants to try acting in the thriller genre

During IU's show, the host asked BTS V, "Do you have any plans for your acting career in future?" Responding to the question, he said, "I do." IU further asked him, "Is there a genre you want to try acting?" To this, Kim Taehyung revealed that he wants to try the thriller genre for his next acting venture. 

Taehyung further questioned IU and asked, "Do you know this Netflix series called The End Of F***ing World?" IU admitted that she liked the show and said that she loved it. V continued by saying, "My thoughts on acting completely changed after I watched that. When people ask me ‘Is there a role you want to play?’ I tell them this." He also revealed that he wants to play the protagonist in the show. The Netflix series The End of the F***ing World is based on the story of a 17-year-old named James who believes himself to be a psychopath.

In a promo clip of You Quiz On The Block, BTS V appeared as a guest. During the show, Taehyung shared that he recorded the Layover album at fellow bandmate BTS Jungkook's house. Previously, Jungkook dropped hints about V's album in his Weverse livestream and said, "Have I listened to Taehyung’s album? Has the news come out? I’ve listened to a few of his songs, they’re good he’s good. I’ve heard it beforehand."
