A Chilean feminist collective, known for their anthems against gender violence, have showcased their latest performance aimed addressing human rights.

The performance by Lastesis, dubbed "Resistance or the claim of a collective right" was presented Sunday at the Santiago a Mil International Festival which continues through March and April.

The new performance "is a way of claiming the right to a life free from violence," according to a statement on the Santiago a Mil International Festival website.

In late 2019, Lastesis performed a piece entitled "The Rapist is You," that spoke against violence against women, bringing attention to rapes, abuses, violence, and harassment against women in Chile.

The anti-sexism lyrics have quickly become part of the feminist anthem in Chile and beyond, with several groups of men and women staging similar public displays in cities in Latin America and Europe.
