Moscow: US President Donald Trump , who was earlier going to attend the Victory Day parade in Russia on May 9, has now denied any such plan, according to Russian media cited by the Kremlin.

No Plans for Victory Day Parade 

U.S. President Donald Trump has denied media reports suggesting that he plans to attend the Victory Day parade in Moscow on May 9. The Kremlin has also confirmed that there are no arrangements for Trump's visit to Russia on that date.

Trump's Response 
Trump addressed the rumours during a press conference, stating, "No, no, I am not." He emphasised that he had no plans to travel to Russia in the near future and dismissed the speculation as baseless.

Speculation about Trump's visit to Moscow began when several media outlets reported that he might attend the Victory Day celebrations and meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin . These reports suggested that the visit could be a significant diplomatic gesture amid ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Russia.

Kremlin's Confirmation
Following their Feb. 12 phone call, Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed that they would visit each other's countries. Peskov confirmed that Putin invited Trump to Moscow and that they could meet before the end of February. 

Trump Calls on Putin, Zelenskyy to End War

US President Doanld Trump has urged both President Vladimir Putin and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to negotiate an end to the Russia-Ukraine war, stating that they need to "get together to stop the war and end the killing of millions of people."

Victory Day Parade

Russia commemorates May 9 as victory day over Nazi Germany in World War 2 when a united Soviet Union including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and other nations defeated Nazi Germany in 1945. The Soviet Union lost more than 27 million people, largest by any country as they call it the ‘Great Patriotic War’.
