On social media, a four-year-old Korean boy's video is becoming widely shared, know why?
On social media, a four-year-old Korean boy's video is becoming widely shared. The boy, Song Eo Jun, says, "I don't know," in the brief clip. Nobody plays with me at home, so I'm by myself. His devastating reply has sent a tidal wave of emotions across the internet.
The clip from the South Korean television programme "My Golden Kids" went viral.
When asked which of his parents he preferred, Song said there was none.
Song responded, "I think she doesn't like me," when asked about his mother. This caused the toddler to start crying. He also acknowledged wanting to spend more time with his mother.
Many are crying after watching the young boy's video.
Children of working parents may unknowingly experience feelings of loneliness as a result of the difficulties of contemporary life, especially the pressures of demanding careers and busy schedules.
Song's parents, however, started crying as they listened to his confession. It is revealed in the show that Song's parents are incredibly busy with their schedules and are finding it very hard to raise Song and his six-month-old sister.
Song feels that his parents don't love him because of this disconnect between parenting time and the need to be loved by children.
Children of those parents who have long work hours and long commutes may feel neglected or emotionally detached due to a lack of meaningful interactions.
