SHOCKING: Man dragged away by lion after going into its enclosure - Check what happened next
Mike Hodge, a British businessman who owns the Makarele Predator Centre in Thabazimbi and was 67 years old at the time of the incident.
Viral: It's well known that lions are among the wildest and most vicious animals, and it's very improbable that you will survive an attack from one of these animals. It is thought that there is just a 25% probability of survival. Because of their vicious nature, these predators frequently leave their victims as lifeless carcasses that have been torn apart. There's a saying that a human trapped in this kind of circumstance has no genuine chance of survival except for the predator losing interest and killing them first.
Old Horrifying Video Reappeared
A terrifying lion attack occurred in South Africa in 2018, and Mike Hodge was fortunate enough to survive to recount the story. Not for the weak of heart, though, is the viral footage of the attack that has reappeared. We recommend using caution when viewing. Hodge, a British businessman who owns the Makarele Predator Centre in Thabazimbi and was 67 years old at the time of the incident, had gone into a lion enclosure during the day. A mature male lion began to maul and pull Hodge away, and witnesses could be heard yelling in terror as the action happened.
Mike Hodge: Suffered Major Injuries
The old man is shown in the video (shared by crazyclipsonly) approaching the lion inside the enclosure gently. The enormous cat suddenly turns around, sprints in his direction, and drags him out from under the enclosure fence. Even though the video is short, it's enough to give you the chills. Hodge suffered major injuries to his jaw and neck following the attack. Before being taken to a hospital, he was seen on camera lying on the ground in a motionless state.
Hodge reportedly entered the enclosure to investigate a smell that was bothering one of the lions. But his presence had agitated the lion, and when Hodge attempted to leave, the lion became hostile. Following this horrific event, Hodge— who had migrated to the UK and then to South Africa in 2003 with his wife Chrissy—spent many days in the hospital. It is believed that several images of him smilling at the camera were taken while he was in the hospital.
The tragedy had a lasting effect even after the lion that attacked was put down. Viewers are outraged and in shock after seeing the attack's video emerge online again. This terrifying event serves as a warning of the risks associated with wild animal interactions and the necessity of using caution when nearing them.
