Gaza Strip now 'one of the most dangerous places in the world': UNRWA

The besieged Gaza Strip, where the hostilities between Israel and Hamas have intensified in the southern part of the enclave, is now one of the world’s most dangerous places, the United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees said on Wednesday. The situation enclave, which is witnessing the heavy fighting, has become too grave, according to the UN agency.

Gaza  situation is "getting worse each minute" as the new influx of the refugees are migrating in the south, displaced by Israeli bombardment, the UN agency said. "There is no 'safe' zone, the entire GazaStrip has become one of the most dangerous places in the world. There is nowhere to go as shelters, including UNRWA, are overflowing," the UN body said on X, formerly known as Twitter. 

Doctors without borders call for ‘immediate end to "indiscriminate and relentless attacks’

Humanitarian organization Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) also called for an immediate end to "indiscriminate and relentless attacks.” "Forcible displacement must stop now. Assaults on hospitals and medical staff must stop now. Restrictions on aid and the siege must stop now," it said on X. On Wednesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that its forces have discovered a tranche of weapons stockpile near a clinic and a school in northern Gaza. While some weapons were destroyed in the field, others were being investigated. Visuals on social media showed the IDF loading the large stockpile on a truck and taking it to an unknown location. A mounting number of the civilians casualties were reported as the Israeli military launched strikes overnight on targets in and around the Jabalya refugee camp. As per a statement by the Palestinian official news agency WAFA, IDF “targeted an entire residential square in 'Block 2' in Jabalya camp, killing and wounding dozens, including children and women.”

As many as six people were killed and dozens others were injured in an air strike on two houses in the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza,the agency noted. Three people were killed and a number of others were injured in a raid that targeted a house in the western camp in Khan Yunis, it added.
