Honda, Renault Price Hike: Buyers planning for a Honda Car should consider buying it before April 2025 as the auto manufacturer has announced a price revision of its entire model lineup. Following the steps of Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Kia, Honda Cars India has announced a price revision. Still, it has not clarified how many hikes will be made by the automaker on its models.
Honda Cars in a statement said that the price increase comes due to rising input costs, increased commodity prices and higher operational expenses.
Amid Honda Cars' price hike announcement, Renault India has also announced a price hike for its entire model lineup. The company will revise its prices after two years, starting in 2023, and will increase them by 2 per cent across its variant lineup from April 2025. Renault cited rising input costs as the reason for the price hike.
Renault India CEO and MD Venkatram Mamillapalle said, “The company has been subsuming rising input costs for "a considerable time," but the sustained increase has now necessitated a price hike for its model portfolio."
The first automaker on the list is Maruti Suzuki to make a price revision of 4 per cent on its entire lineup, from April 2025 but will vary on the models and the variants.
Kia India was the next automaker on the list, which made a price revision by 3 per cent on its models from April 2025.
Following this trend, Tata Motors also announced that the company intends to make a price revision of its models. The company has not clarified how much of a price hike will be made on its models and which variants will be affected.
