Maruti Suzuki's Price Hike May Add Up to ₹40,000 to Car Costs in April 2025 - Exclusive

Maruti Suzuki Price Hike: Maruti Suzuki, India’s leading passenger vehicle manufacturer had recently announced a price revision of its entire model lineup. The company said the cars will see a price revision by up to 4 per cent and will vary on the models and the variants. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki had launched the 2025 version of the Celerio, Alto K10, and Ertiga and updated its safety features and made a price revision in these models. 

According to sources, the petrol and the CNG versions of the Swift, Brezza, and other models may see a price hike by up to ₹25,000 to ₹40,000 on the ex-showroom prices.

Here’s everything that buyers need to know about the forthcoming price hike:

Maruti Suzuki Swift:

Maruti Suzuki Swift is a popular hatchback among buyers in India. The price of Swift is ₹6.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the LXI variant. According to sources, the ex-showroom price of the Swift LXI variant can likely see a price revision by ₹26,000, thus making the new ex-showroom price as ₹6.75 lakh.

On the other hand, the buyers who are planning for the Swift CNG can likely get a price revision as well. Maruti Suzuki offers the Swift CNG in the VXI variant, which has is priced at ₹8.19 lakh (ex-showroom). According to sources, the Swift CNG VXI variant is likely to get a price hike by ₹30,500, hence making the new price at ₹8.50 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R:

The next car on the list which is likely to receive a price hike is the Wagon R. It is a popular hatchback among fleet and tour operators and is currently priced at ₹6.09 lakh (ex-showroom) for the VXI variant. Sources revealed that the company may hike the prices of the Wagon R VXI variant by ₹30,500, hence resulting in a new ex-showroom price of ₹6.40 lakh.

On the contrary, the buyers planning for the CNG variant of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R may have to pay more as the company is likely to surge the price by ₹35,500. Currently, the price of Wagon R VXI is ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and with the expected price hike, the new price can go up to ₹7.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

Maruti Suzuki Brezza:

According to sources, the third vehicle on the list that is likely to see the price hike is the Brezza. The price of Maruti Suzuki Brezza LXI variant in March 2025 is ₹8.69 lakh (ex-showroom). With the company’s announcement, the Brezza is likely to see a price revision by up to ₹35,000. With the update, the new price of Brezza LXI variant is likely to be ₹9.04 lakh (ex-showroom).

Further the sources also highlighted the CNG variants of the Brezza will likely receive a price hike. Currently, the price of Maruti Suzuki Brezza LXI CNG variant is ₹9.64 lakh (ex-showroom) and is likely to have a raise by up to ₹38,000, making the new price of Brezza LXi CNG at ₹10.02 lakh (ex-showroom).
