Mercedes-Benz Cars Price Hike: As vehicles are getting expensive and different auto manufacturers are announcing the price hike, German luxury auto manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz India may also jump in this race. According to PTI, the company has announced that it may raise the prices of its models in India if the Rupee continues to weaken against the Euro.
We have reached out to Mercedes-Benz India for more clarifications on how much the price hike will be.
According to RBI data, the Euro's exchange rate in terms of the Indian rupee has been witnessing a continuous fall this year.
In January 2025, Mercedes-Benz India announced a price revision of 3 per cent on its entire model lineup in India.
Recently, Maruti Suzuki was the first automaker to announce a price hike of its models by up to 4 per cent from April 2025. After Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors announced that the company intends to make a price revision of its models in April. Following this, Kia India announced a price revision of 3 per cent on its entire model lineup from April 2025.
According to PTI, Mercedes Benz sold 19,565 cars in 2024, having a growth of 11.02 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
Mercedes-Benz recently launched its most expensive model in India, the Maybach SL 680. Talking about its exclusivity, only three units of Mercedes Maybach SL 680 have been allocated for India.
The Mercedes Maybach SL 680 has a price tag of ₹4.20 crore (ex-showroom) and is available in two paint options. It is available in White and Red paint shades.
The Mercedes Maybach SL 680 is powered by a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 petrol engine, producing 577BHP and 800Nm torque, paired to a nine-speed DCT transmission. The Maybach SL 680 produces 107BHP and 100Nm torque more than the AMG SL 55.
