Mumbai Police has identified and located an MBA holder suffering from schizophrenia who made a threatening call to veteran industrialist Ratan Tata. The anonymous caller, who expressed concerns about Ratan Tata's security, warned of dire consequences if security measures were not increased, drawing parallels to the fate of former Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry.

Prompted by the call, Mumbai Police swiftly initiated an investigation, deploying a dedicated team to bolster Ratan Tata's personal security and another to trace the caller's identity. Through technical assistance and cooperation with a telecom service provider, the police traced the caller to Karnataka, discovering that he was a resident of Pune.

Upon reaching the caller's Pune residence, the police learned that he had been missing for five days, prompting his wife to file a complaint at the Bhosari police station. Subsequent inquiries revealed that the caller, afflicted with schizophrenia, had taken the phone used for the threat from someone's house without informing them. The caller had contacted the Mumbai Police control room to issue the threat.

Considering the caller's mental health condition, specifically schizophrenia, the police opted not to pursue legal action against him. It was revealed that the individual possessed an MBA in finance and had a background in engineering.
