Investors should note that both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) will remain closed on Friday, March 14, 2025, in observance of Holi. This means no trading activities will take place on that day across all segments.

Along with the equity market, trading will also be halted in equity derivatives, securities lending and borrowing (SLB), currency derivatives, and electronic gold receipts (EGR). Investors should plan their trades accordingly to avoid any inconvenience.

Holi: The Festival of Colors

Holi, celebrated as the festival of colors, marks the arrival of spring and the victory of good over evil. The festival is known for its vibrant celebrations, where people throw colored powders, dance, and sing, embracing new beginnings and joy.

Regular Stock Market Trading Schedule

The BSE and NSE operate Monday through Friday, with regular trading taking place on all weekdays except for weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and officially declared holidays.

Staying updated on stock market holidays is crucial for traders and investors to effectively manage their trading strategies. Keeping track of non-trading days helps avoid disruptions and optimize investment plans on active market days.

The Indian stock market will celebrate 14 holidays, leaving Saturday and Sunday in 2025.  Investors should monitor these holidays, which are spaced out throughout the year, in order to efficiently organise their trading operations.
