World Bank Confident India Will Continue to Be Fastest Growing Economy: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh - Global Investors Summit 2025' in Bhopal, intending to transform the state into a major investment hub. During the summit, Modi shared that the World Bank has expressed confidence that India will remain the world's fastest-growing economy in the coming years. 

Speaking after inaugurating the grand Summit in Bhopal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the state's vast potential for investors and industrialists.

During his address at the inauguration of the Global Investors Summit 2025 in Bhopal on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned that the World Bank’s recent Global Economic Prospects report predicted India will continue to be the fastest-growing major economy for the next two years. 

Prime Minister Modi also stated that the Deregulation Commission will play a crucial role in creating an investment-friendly regulatory environment in the states.  

He further noted India’s rising position as the top supply chain hub for global aerospace firms. Modi also mentioned that sectors such as textiles, tourism, and technology are set to create millions of jobs in the coming years. 

18 New Policies of the Madhya Pradesh Government: 

The Prime Minister also introduced 18 new policies by the Madhya Pradesh Government, designed to attract significant investment to the BJP-ruled state. He said that with its skilled workforce and thriving industries, Madhya Pradesh is fast becoming a preferred destination for business. 

Prime Minister Modi further said, that the speed of development in Madhya Pradesh has doubled following the formation of the ‘double engine’ government. He also mentioned that Madhya Pradesh is playing a key role in driving India’s electric vehicle revolution. 

He highlighted numerous opportunities in the health and wellness sector in India, noting that the world is increasingly embracing the "Heal in India" initiative. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the closing session of the Global Investors Summit on February 25 and deliver the keynote address.

Kalyani, Chairman and MD of Bharat Forge Limited, Rahul Awasthi, Global Head of Operations at Sun Pharmaceuticals Limited, and Neeraj Akhouri, CEO of ACC Limited.
