Virat Kohli's love with Wimbledon continues to shatter records. The 37-year-old was in attendance to watch Novak Djokovic beat Alex de Minaur to reach his 16th Wimbledon quarterfinal.

Virat Kohli Witnessed Novak Djokovic's Greatness At Wimbledon

Kohli bid adieu to Test cricket very recently, and the series against England marked the first instance where India are playing the long format without the stalwart. With more involvement in Test and T20I cricket, Virat seems to be taking a much-needed time off to enjoy a break. The RCB star was in the stands during the round of 16 match alongside his wife Anushka Sharma. Virat was last involved in the IPL final when RCB defeated Punjab Kings to lift their maiden IPL title in Ahmedabad.

Virat wrote on his Instagram story, “What a match. It was business as usual for the gladiator.” This is not the first time the former Indian captain was spotted at Wimbledon, as earlier in 2015, he was at the All England Club. Eight-time Wimbledon champion Roger Federer was also in the Royal Box with his wife. After the Edgbaston defeat, England stalwart Joe Root and James Anderson also attended the match.

Novak Djokovic Set Wimbledon Quarter-Final Date

Djokovic came back from one set down and took one step towards his 8th Wimbledon title with a 1-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4 win. He will now face Flavio Cobolli of Italy in the quarters. Djokovic had an error-prone first set, making four double faults, leading him to concede the first set to his opponent. But the Serbian came back to his rhythm and wrapped up the next three sets to maintain his momentum on the grass court. With only a handful of top seeds plying their trades in the tournament, Djokovic's chances of emulating Federer have enhanced, and it remains to be seen how things will unfold at Wimbledon this time.
