In a move to empower aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders, the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) has introduced a pioneering undergraduate programme focused on 'Digital Business and Entrepreneurship'. The programme, offered through the school's digital learning initiative IIMBx, aims to equip students with the skills and knowledge essential for thriving in the digital age.
Rishikesha T Krishnan, Director of IIM Bangalore, emphasized the programme's objective of fostering entrepreneurial spirit and facilitating digital transformation in businesses. He stated, "The programme is designed in alignment with the education policy, featuring a flexible exit policy to accommodate diverse student needs. With online and asynchronous courses, supplemented by recorded content, we aim to cater to students from various academic backgrounds, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning experience."
The application process for the undergraduate programme will commence on June 15, 2024, with classes scheduled to commence in September 2024. Suresh Bhagavatula, a senior faculty member specializing in Entrepreneurship at IIMB, will spearhead the three-year programme, which will encompass internship opportunities and hands-on projects.
