Assam Class 9 Annual English Exam Cancelled Amid Paper Leak Reports

The Class 9 English annual examination in Assam’s Barpeta district, which was scheduled for Thursday, has been cancelled following a question paper leak on social media, officials confirmed. 

Barpeta Inspector of Schools, Ratul Kumar Das, issued an order to all school heads in the district, informing them about the cancellation of the exam.

News Exam Date: Assam Class 9 Annual English Exam 

A new date for the exam will be announced later. 

In an official order, Barpeta Inspector of Schools, Ratul Kumar Das, stated, "The Class 9 English annual examination, originally scheduled for March 20, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances." 

Meanwhile, a district-level internal examination committee official said they became aware of the paper leak on Wednesday evening. 

"We suspect that the question paper was circulated on social media. We are currently verifying all claims. To ensure fairness, we have decided to cancel the examination,"  Ratul Kumar Das added.
