Hazaribagh: A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team from Delhi is probing into a possible link between two significant examination paper leak cases at Oasis Public School in Hazaribagh. Initially focused on the NEET paper leak, the investigation has expanded to include potential irregularities in the UGC NET exam conducted at the same center.

During the course of the NEET paper leak investigation, the CBI recorded statements from various school staff members, including Principal Ehsan Ul Haq. These interactions revealed that the UGC NET exam was also conducted at Oasis Public School. A sitting arrangement list obtained by Republic TV from the National Testing Agency (NTA) confirms that the UGC NET exam took place at this school.

Questions have arisen about why the NTA allowed the UGC NET exam to be held at Oasis Public School, given that the institution was already under scrutiny for the NEET paper leak. The UGC NET exam, held on June 18, was canceled by the government amid suspicions of a paper leak, prompting them to hand over the case to the CBI.

The CBI is now simultaneously investigating both the NEET and UGC NET paper leak cases in Hazaribagh. Continuous questioning of Principal Haq and the confiscation of electronic devices from the school aims to uncover the truth behind these incidents.

NEET-UG was held on May 5 and the results were declared on June 4. Soon after the results were declared, several allegations of malpractice and paper leaks were made, questioning the integrity of the exam conducted by NTA, as a total of 67 candidates emerged as NEET toppers due to the grace marks allotted to some candidates. Amid the investigations, NTA conducted the UGC-NET exam on June 18, however, it was cancelled on June 19, following allegations of paper leaks.
