Navodaya Vidyalaya Admissions 2025: JNVST Class 6 Registration Last Date Extended Till September 23

JNVST Admissions 2025: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) class 6.

NVS Admissions 2025: Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2024 for class 6th admissions. Earlier, the deadline was September 16 which has been extended till September 23. Candidates/ guardians can register online through the official website- navodaya.gov.in. The admissions will be conducted for the 2025-26 session. 

JNVST for class 6th will be held in two phases. Phase 1 will be held on January 18, 2025 and April 12, 2025. The exams will begin at 11.30 am. 

How to Apply For JNV Class 6 Admissions 2025

  • Go to the official site of Navodaya Vidyalaya on https://cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs/ 
  • Under the ‘Candidate Corner’ section, click on the link that reads- Click here for Registration for Class VI JNVST (2025-26)
  • Candidates will be redirected to a page where they will have to click on the registration
  • Candidates will have to fill in the application form and pay the application fee
  • After completing the process, candidates should click on submit option
  • Candidates should then download their application form and take a printout of the same
  • Candidates should keep visiting the official website for more updates.

JNVST Class 6 Exam Dates

The exam are scheduled to be conducted in two phases — on April 12, 2025, at 11.30 AM and on January 18, 2025, at 11.30 AM.

JNVST class 6 exams will be held on Saturday, 12th April, 2025 at 11.30 am in the States of Jammu and Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II & Samba), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and in the Districts of Dibang Valley and Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh, in the Districts of Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti and Shimla of Himachal Pradesh, in the District of Darjeeling of West Bengal, and Leh & Kargil districts of UT Ladakh. 

JNVST Class 6 exams will be held on Saturday, 18th January, 2025 at 11.30 A.M. in the State of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh (except Dibang Valley & Tawang Districts), Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh (except Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti and Shimla Districts), Jammu & Kashmir (only for Jammu-I, Jammu-II & Samba) Jharkhand, Kerala, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Manipur, Orissa, Punjab, Rajasthan, Tripura, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand & West Bengal (except Darjeeling), Union Territories of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Delhi, Lakshadweep and Pudducherry.

Eligibility Criteria

Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located and studying class 5th in the same district are eligible to apply for admission. A candidate who is studying class 5th in a district is allowed to apply for admission to JNV in the same district only. Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located and studying class V in the same district are eligible to apply for admission to JNVs through JNVST.
