2019 Lok Sabha Election Results: CM Manohar Lal Khattar claims vindication with BJP firmly in the lead in Haryana

The counting of votes has begun for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the 542 seats in the 29 states and 7 Union Territories.

The counting of votes has begun for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections for the 542 seats in the 29 states and 7 Union Territories. With the biggest election heading towards the grand finale on May 23, Republic Media Network spoke to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and exhibited confidence over the victory of BJP's victory in Haryana. He also expressed his happiness regarding the lead of NDA with 300 seats.

At the time when he spoke to Republic TV, BJP was leading in 9 out of 10 seats in Haryana. In 2014, NDA won 7 seats in Haryana while UPA won 1 seat. 

"BJP is leading in all the 10 seats, we had told this during the election campaign that we will win 10 seats. We were working since the first day for people's welfare. You come to Haryana and see how we have worked and changed the scenario. I won all the elections whenever I contested," Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said.

On May 23, the fate of over 8,000 candidates who contested in 542 constituencies will be declared after the counting of votes.

As per the projections of the Republic Double Exit Poll, NDA-led by BJP is likely to cross the halfway mark in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, with PM Modi securing a second term at the office. In Haryana, Republic Exit Poll predicted 9 seats for NDA, 1 for UPA.
