Here's What PM Modi Said In Response To Ravi Shastri's 'tracerbullet' Congratulatory Message & His Own Message For Team India Skipper Virat Kohli

Prime Minister Narendra Modi won his second term at the office with a landslide victory on May 23. A day after the results for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections was declared by the Election Commission, Indian Cricket team captain Virat Kohli took to Twitter and congratulated Prime Minister Modi on his convincing win. The top-ranked batsman in both Tests and One Day Internationals congratulated Modi by writing that 'We believe India is going to reach greater heights with your vision'.

Almost 24 hours later, Modi took to Twitter and thanked Virat Kohli. He also gave his best wishes to the Indian skipper as well as the entire team for the upcoming World Cup.

At the same time, Modi also thanked Team India's head coach Ravi Shastri after the former had congratulated the Prime Minister after his dominant win on Thursday.

Team India will be taking on New Zealand in the first warm-up game on Saturday at  The Oval before they head to Cardiff for their second warm-up fixture against Bangladesh.

India will begin their World Cup campaign against South Africa on June 5 at Southampton.
