Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with party chief Amit Shah released the BJP's manifesto for the 2019 general election on Monday in New Delhi. The 'Sankalp Patra' has been crafted on the theme of a "Sankalpit Bharat, Shashakt Bharat" or 'Determined India, Empowered India'.

With the vision towards a 'New India', BJP has enlisted the promises that the party will fulfil in the next course of five years.

From agriculture, economic stability to infrastructure and women empowerment, BJP strives to continue governance on the foundations laid out in the last five years.

"In the next five years, we promise to create growth opportunities for all citizens in every aspect of life. Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikas remains our guiding principle. We intend to reach out to a developed future while retaining our civilisational roots," read the manifesto.

Adding that India must be secured against internal and external aggression, BJP further promised to increase the strength of our diplomatic and allied cadres by the development of the “Make in India in Defence” initiative.
