With the country headed into the second phase of elections, 95 seats across 12 states are in the poll fray. In Tamil Nadu, with the polling cancelled in Vellore constituency, rest 38 constituencies are voting on Thursday to choose their MPs.
Among the eminent personalities who cast their vote in Tamil Nadu was Sadhguru who travelled 17 hours, all the way from US, for one day, to cast his vote in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. After casting his vote, he said that it is a privilege to select the one who will rule the country.
Days after the Election Commission had announced the dates for the Lok Sabha election, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had begun a campaign encouraging young people to vote in the Lok Sabha polls. He took to Twitter to tag spiritual leaders including Sri Sri Ravishankar, Sadhguru and Baba Ramdev to encourage others to vote.
Even before the PM's request, Sadhguru had been actively involved in spreading the importance of voting and urging people to vote in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.
