Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his 'sharaab' attack on the ' gathbandhan ' of SP-RLD-BSP while addressing his Meerut rally address.
Taking to Twitter, former U.P CM Mayawati posted a series of tweets in which she attacked the Prime Minister for not fulfilling the promise he made ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
"PM Shri Modi ne aaj Meerat se Lok Sabha chunaav abhiyaan ki shuruaat karte hue kaha ki main apna hisab dunga, lekin videsh se kaala dhan vapas laakar garibo ko 15 se 20 lakh rupee dene va kisano ki aay doguni karne aadi janhit ke mudde ka hisab-kitab diye bina hi ve maidan chhod gaye. Chowkidaar kya imaandaar hai (PM Modi kickstarted his Lok Sabha campaign from Meerut today where he said that he will give set the records straights. But he went off from the stage without talking about the promise to give 15-20 lakh to poor from the black money extracted from foreign countries and to double the income of farmer etc. Is the chowkidaar trustworthy?)
In another tweet, Mayawati called out the BJP party for indulging in personal, caste-based and communal politics, spreading hatred, adding that BSP-SP-RLD came into an alliance to remove the BJP government from its seat.
"Vyaktigat, jaatigat va sampradaayik dvesh va ghrinda, ki raajneeti karna BJP and company ki shoobha hai jiske liye unki sarkar lagaatar satta ka durupyog karti rahi hai. Deshahit ko sarvopari maankar aisi garibi, loktantra va janvirodhi sarkar se desh ko mukti dilane ke liye BSP-SP-RLD ne gathbandhan kiya hai (The politics of personal, caste and communal hatred is the agenda of BJP and its company on the basis of which their government continues to misuse power. Knowing that the country is paramount, BSP-SP-RLD has come into alliance to liberate the country from such poor and anti-democratic government)"
In a never-before-heard remark, PM Modi targeted the SP-RLD-BSP alliance in Uttar Pradesh while addressing a rally in Meerut on Thursday. He suggested that they are no better than alcohol, and people should not bring them to power.
"On one side, there is SP-BSP-RLD. You can see this from a different view. The S of SP, R of RLD and B of BSP means 'Sharaab' (alcohol). SP, RLD, BSP - This sharaab will destroy you," PM Modi said as he gave a whole new meaning to the term.
