Earlier today, PM Modi had hit out at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee for her 'slap' comment during his rally in the state.

"I was told that Didi has said that she wants to slap Modi. Didi, oh Mamata Didi. I call you a sister. I respect you. Your slap will become a blessing for me. I am ready to get slapped. But I'll say this if you would've shown the guts to slap those friends of yours who stole poor's income in the name of chit fund, then you wouldn't have been so scared. If you would've had shown the guts to slap those scamsters, then the stain of TTT, which is Trinamool Tolabaji Tax wouldn't have destroyed you,' he said.

PM Modi had tweeted about the huge gathering on Thursday as people lined on the street to see him in Purulia. "See how people came out in large numbers on the streets of Purulia. The writing on the wall is clear, West Bengal is set to choose BJP!" he said.

He also shared a video of massive number of people greeting him ahead of his rally in West Bengal's Bankura.
