New Delhi: As the Lok Sabha election enters the seventh phase, voting will take place in 57 seats across eight states and union territories on June 1. The campaigning came to an end for the last phase of the election at 6 pm on May 30.
In the seventh phase, voting will take place in constituencies across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Chandigarh. The polling process will commence at 7 am and conclude at 6 pm.

As many as 904 candidates are in the fray and voters will decide their fate on June 1. The results for all the seats will be declared on June 4. As India prepares for the final phase, take a look at the key candidates contesting the election.

PM Modi (Varanasi): One of the most anticipated battles of the 2024 Lok Sabha election will be held in Varanasi where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is seeking re-election against Congress' Ajay Rai who has faced defeat two consecutive times against PM Modi.

Kangana Ranaut (Mandi): The actor-turned-politician, Kangana Ranaut, has made her debut in electoral politics with candidature from the Mandi seat in Himachal Pradesh. The Congress has pitted Vikramaditya Singh, son of former CM Virbhadra Singh, against Ranaut.
Ravi Kishan (Gorakhpur): Actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan is seeking re-election from the Gorakhpur segment for the second consecutive term. He will fight polls against Kajal Nishad, the Samajwadi Party candidate. In the 2019 polls, he defeated SP candidate Rambhual Nishad with over 60 per cent of the entire vote share.

Anurag Thakur (Hamirpur): Union Minister Anurag Thakur is a BJP candidate from the Hamirpur seat in Himachal Pradesh. He has been pitted against Congress candidate Satpal Singh Raizada. Notably, Thakur has held the Hamirpur seat since 2009 when his father resigned from Lok Sabha membership.
Abhishek Banerjee (Diamond Harbour): Trinamool heavyweight and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee's nephew Abhishek Banerjee is contesting the polls from the Diamond Harbour seat in West Bengal. Despite being a stronghold of the TMC, the Diamond Harbour segment will witness a three-cornered electoral battle with CPI(M)’s Pratikur Rahaman and Abhijit Das of the BJP.
