PM Modi Bows Down Before Constitution at NDA Parliamentary Meet In 'Samvidhan Sadan'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi bowed and respectfully touched the Constitution of India with his forehead after he entered the 'Samvidhan Sadan'

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi bowed and respectfully touched the Constitution of India with his forehead after he entered the ‘Samvidhan Sadan (Central Hall of Parliament) amid a rousing welcome during the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting. 

Wearing a white kurta and churidar with a cream checkered half-jacket, Prime Minister Modi humbly greeted the newly elected MPs with folded hands and met the NDA allies sitting near the podium including JDU's Nitish Kumar, TDP's Chandrababu Naidu, among others. 

The gesture reminisced of his actions in 2014 and 2019. 

PM Modi Elected as Leader of NDA 

The NDA alliance partners including JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, LJP (Ram Vilas) chief Chirag Paswan, among others, elected PM Modi as Leader of the BJP, Leader of NDA Parliamentary Party and Leader of the Lok Sabha, exuding confidence in his visionary leadership for ‘Vikshit Bharat.’ 

Pledging support to alway work with the NDA, JD(U) leader Nitish Kumar said, “All the pending works of Bihar will be done. It is a very good thing that all of us have come together and we will all work together with you (PM Modi). You will be swearing in as the Prime Minister on Sunday, but I wanted you to do it today itself. Whenever you take the oath, we will be with you...We will all work together under your leadership.” 

Addressing the NDA Parliamentary Party meeting, PM Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the NDA leaders and newly elected MPs for their attendance in large numbers. 

“I express my heartfelt gratitude to all the leaders of the constituent parties present in this assembly hall, all the newly elected MPs and our Rajya Sabha MPs. It is a matter of happiness for me that I have had the opportunity to welcome such a large group here today.” 

He further congratulated the newly-elected Members of Parliament and said, "All those leaders who have come victorious deserve congratulations. The lakhs of workers who have worked day and night, today from this central hall, I bow down and salute them..."
