Abhishek Bachchan Is A 'Proud Husband'. Here's Why

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan took to the social media networking website Twitter to congratulate his wife on being awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at the first ever WIFT (Women in Film and Television) India Awards. Sharing an adorable picture of their daughter Aaradhya hugging Aishwarya Rai while holding the award, he wrote, "And the Mrs. is awarded the Meryl Streep award for excellence at WIFT. The little one gives her a congratulatory hug, and I look on (to the photo) a very proud husband!"

The proud husband had earlier shared the news about Aishwarya Rai being honoured with this title through Twitter. 

The first WIFT award was held in Washington D.C and the 'Fanney Khan' received the inaugural award. The Meryl Streep award is bestowed on the best female talents from the world of Bollywood and Hollywood. The award is named after American actress Meryl Streep who is often termed as the 'best actress of her generation'. The award is bestowed upon the best female talents from the world of Bollywood and Hollywood. The award ceremony was held on Saturday, September 8. The actress was accompanied by her mother and daughter Aaradhya at the function.

Aishwarya Rai who was last seen in 'Fanney Khan' will next be seen in Anurag Kashyap's 'Gulab Jamun' opposite husband Abhishek Bachchan. Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for the release of 'Manmarziyaan' where he will be seen alongside Taapsee Pannu and Vicky Kaushal. The film helmed by Anurag Kashyap is slated to release on September 14.
