Amitabh Bachchan appeared as Khudabaksh, the commander of the sea, in the movie. The movie featured Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Katrina Kaif. The movie did not do well at the box-office and could only earn ₹ 138 Crores while its budget reportedly was around ₹ 220 Crores. In spite of having a huge star cast, the movie did not meet the audiences' expectations. According to critics, the movie had a poor script and unfamiliar genre. The Thugs of Hindostan movie also had a weak direction and it was highly inspired by popular blockbusters like Pirates of The Caribbean and Bahubali.
Box Office India called Sarkar 3 this movie a disaster. Sarkar 3 is the third instalment of Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar franchise. The film also featured Manoj Bajpayee, Jackie Shroff, and Yami Gautam. The performance of the previous Sarkar movies was average but Sarkar 3 was one of Mr Bachchan's worst as per the collections.
Te3n movie, a 2016 thriller, was directed by Ribhu Dasgupta. The movie also featured Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Vidya Balan. The movie is about the mystery of Amitabh's missing granddaughter. Despite what was deemed as a good plot and a popular star cast, the movie failed to meet the audience's expectations according to many of the reviews it received.
Shamitabh was a satirical drama film, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Dhanush and Akshara Haasan. The movie was about a mute actor Dhanush who becomes a famous actor when Amitabh lends him his voice. The movie was not very well-received by the fans of both Dhanush as well as Amitabh Bachchan. The concept was deemed as new and interesting but the movie still could not perform well at the box-office.
Satyagraha, a political drama directed by Prakash Jha was a flop at the box-office. The movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgan, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee and Amrita Rao. Satyagraha had a good plot and a good cast according to may, but the movie could still not meet the fans' expectations and could also earn only collections of ₹ 55 Crores.
