Amitabh Bachchan left his Twitter fans in confusion with his recent tweet. Big B took on Twitter to give his best wishes to Aftab Shivdasani for his upcoming movie The Setters. He wrote in his tweet, "Best wishes to my childhood best friend and colleague for his upcoming movie". He tweeted on the official trailer of the film.

Amitabh Bachchan and Aftab Shivdasani childhood friends?

Netizens were confused and wondered how veteran and icon Amitabh Bachchan was a childhood buddy of 40-year-old Aftab. The reason is - Aftab Shivdasani has played the role of Amitabh Bachchan’s young character in the movies like Shahenshah (1988) and Insaniyat (1994). So that was what Big-B was referring to in his tweet.

The Setters plot and movie review

The movie The Setters also stars Shreyas Talpade along with Aftab Shivdasani. The movie is directed by Ashwini Chaudhary. The Setters will look into education and employment mafia in India. The official trailer of the movie was out on the internet in April 2019.

Shreyas Talpade shared his excitement in an interview, saying that, he is very excited about the film and this is the first time he was doing a thriller genre. The role he played in the movie was very different from his style. The movie hit the screens in May 2019.

Aftab Shivdasani made a comeback to the silver screen after almost three years with this movie. He was last seen in The Great Grand Masti (2016). The movie was a thriller set in Benaras, Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi. It was about a racket that raked in profits through academic scams.

The movie revolved around the lives of two best friends- one a cop and the other an exam-setter who used to place brilliant students in place of weak students for examinations and collected profits from this setup. The movie did not do so well at the box office, however.

On the work front, Aftab Shivdasani is busy shooting for a Kannada movie Kotigobba 3 that is scheduled to release by November this year. Amitabh Bachchan is also all set to make a comeback to the silver screen with his upcoming projects like Jhund and Brahmastra to name a few. Shreyas Talpade will be seen in Chemistry that is scheduled to release this year.
