The stardom of the actor is so strong that when he met with an accident, the entire nation prayed for his well-being. Today on November 7, 2019, Big B completes his journey of 50 years in the film industry. It was 1972's release Zanjeer that gave a kick-start to Bachchan's career. Before this cop-drama, he worked in numerous projects from 1969 to 1972, but none of them caught the eyeballs of the audience. Zanjeer gave him the fame of Angry Young Man among the audience. The Black actor reprised his fame in 1975's release Deewaar directed by Yash Chopra. In the same year, Sholay's successful run at the box-office earned him a lot of praise. Be it Vijay Verma or Vijay Dinanath Chauhan, Big B pulled off the character of Vijay every time.

After establishing himself as one of the best action heroes of the industry, the Don actor tried his luck in different genres. The 1977's multi-starrer Amar Akhbar Anthony highlighted the comedy shade of his acting skills. 1978 was one of the eventful years of his life as he delivered six successful films, back to back. Four out of those six films released in the same month proved his stardom base. 

According to some film trade analyst, his film Muqaddar Ka Sikandar is a bigger hit than Baahubali 2. His accident at the sets of Coolie shook the nation. Reportedly, numerous fans donated their blood for him during his treatment.
