Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma was born in Ayodhya and raised in Bangalore. The Sui Dhaga actor first tried her luck at modelling. Her first modelling assignment was for the fashion designer Wendell Rodricks in the year 2007. She later moved to Mumbai to pursue a full-time career as a model. Anushka Sharma made her acting debut in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi opposite Shah Rukh Khan. She rose to fame after her blockbuster hit Band Baaja Baaraat in the year 2010.

Anushka Sharma’s father Ajay Kumar Sharma is an Army officer, who has been serving the Indian army for a very long time. Anushka's father is a native of Uttar Pradesh.
