Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala clashes with Sunny Singh’s Ujda Chaman

Bala and Ujda Chaman's trailers have been released and, going accordingly, it is considered that the two films of the same theme might clash this November.

After making a massive success at the box office with Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khurrana has once again picked up an amazing script with his upcoming film Bala. However, Bala has been making news for quite some time now. The film is based on premature balding. Based on the same concept, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor Sunny Singh is coming up with his next, Ujda Chaman. Trailers of both the films have been released and, accordingly, it is said that the two same-theme movies will clash this November.

The trailer of Bala and Ujda Chaman were released recently. Bala is slated to hit the screens on November 7. Ujda Chaman will release on November 8. The two films have created a buzz as they are based on the same theme of premature balding and will clash at the box office. Bala, directed by Amar Kaushik, also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in lead roles. In the trailer, Ayushmann Khurrana is playing the role of Gaurav Rawat, or Bala, a boy from Lucknow who is facing premature balding. He seems to try every possible remedy to grow hair on his head again. The film also takes on the topic of people’s obsession with fair skin. In the trailer, Ayushmann is seen selling skin whitening products and how a family looks for a fair-skinned girl for their son. Bhumi Pednekar, who is playing a dusky girl from Lucknow, gets offended by the same and asks Bala why he is wearing a cap. In the trailer of Ujda Chaman, Chaman Kohli (Sunny Singh) is taunted and made of by his colleagues, boss, friends, and family for being prematurely bald. Similar to Bala, Chaman Kohli in Ujda Chaman is also unable to find a girl for marriage. The trailer of both films are filled with funny one-liners and quirky punchlines.

The makers of Bala have announced the decision of preponing their film’s release date, which is November 7. Earlier it was set to release on November 22. What makes the news so interesting is that the fact that Bala is now slated to release just a day before Ujda Chaman, which happens to be of a similar theme. Recently, the director of Ujda Chaman slammed Bala makers, taking a dig at the last-minute change in the release date of the film.
