Badla Box Office: Amitabh Bachchan-starrer has a 'healthy Monday', director Sujoy Ghosh is 'extremely thrilled'. Here's why

Sujoy Ghosh's 'Badla' is sure shot winner! The mystery thriller hasn't just impressed the audience but has also brought in a good number at the box office.

Sharing the box-office collection of the film, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted: "#Badla is very strong on Day 4... A healthy Mon is a clear indicator that the film is here to stay... Lack of major opposition [till #Kesari] will prove beneficial... Fri 5.04 cr, Sat 8.55 cr, Sun 9.61 cr, Mon 3.75 cr. Total: ₹ 26.95 cr. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 31.80 cr." [sic]

With an interesting storyline, the murder mystery starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu, literally keeps you engaged till the end. People also compared 'Badla' with 'Kahani', as both the films gave an out-of-the-box climax — full of twists and turns. 

Happy with the same response coming in, director Sujoy Ghosh said: “I am extremely thrilled with the love from audience for Badla. When audiences show this kind of faith in your product, it further helps directors like us to bring more such content on the big screen.”

The suspense thriller has now surpassed not just ‘Pink’, the last time the two shared screen space, but also ‘102 Not Out’, Big B’s last hit in terms of opening weekend figures. The two movies had collected Rs 21.51 crore and Rs 16.55 crore respectively. 

Looks like Badla will continue minting moolah at the box office. The crime thriller revolves around Taapsee Pannu's character Naina; Badal Gupta, a lawyer hired by Naina, played by Amitabh Bachchan, Amrita Singh, Tony Luke and Manav Kaul in supporting roles. 

It's remarkable performances, adapted screenplay from the original film 'The Invisible Guest' and terrific background score — the movie keeps you at the edge of your seat.

BADLA is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment in association with Azure Entertainment, Co-produced by Gaurav Verma and produced by Gauri Khan, Sunir Kheterpal and Akshai Puri , the crime thriller is directed by Sujoy Ghosh, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles is running successfully in theaters.
