Ayushmann Khurrana’s upcoming movie Bala is set to release in November this year. The movie teaser was released recently and audiences are awaiting the movie's release. The movie has been directed by Amar Kaushik. Amar Kaushik has previously directed movies like Stree (2018) and Aaba (2017).

Bala is an Indian satirical black comedy. It throws light on how societal pressures affect men as well. Bala is the story of a man who starts balding prematurely. After this happens, he begins to lose his confidence to talk to women.

What does the trailer of Bala say?

The trailer of the movie starts with Bala (Ayushmann) selling fairness creams and telling women that being fair is essential. Offended, Bhumi’s character reveals Ayushmann’s balding problem. Since Indian society is known to believe in a lot of superstitions, everybody around Bala starts giving him advice on how to grow his hair back. He is seen putting cow dunk on his head, among other remedies. From putting different pastes on his balding spots to wearing wigs to considering hair transplant, Bala shall be seen trying all of the options. This shows the desperation of the character to grow his hair back and to find a soulmate. The film’s storyline is expected to touch upon a sensitive problem being dealt with by many people in their late 20s. In spite of the movie being based on a sensitive topic, Bala seems set to take the audience on a hilarious ride.

The star cast of Bala 

The lead actor is Ayushmann Khurrana, along with Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar. Ayushmann Khurrana was previously seen in a comedy film Dream Girl. Apart from that, Ayushmann has done a lot of romantic comedies like Andhadhun, Vicky Donor, Bareilly Ki Barfi. The actor who would be sharing the silver screen with Yami Gautam and Bhumi Pednekar has been seen with the two female actors before as well. His debut movie was Vicky Donor in which he was cast opposite Yami Gautam. Ayushmann Khurrana has shared the big screen with Bhumi Pednekar in four movies.
