Bala vs Ujda Chaman: New release date for Sunny Singh starrer

The director of the movie Ujda Chaman Abhishek Pathak had filed a petition regarding copyright infringement with the Supreme Court to stall the release of Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Bala. The petition demands that the matters of the obvious similarities between the storyline should be resolved before the Ayushmann Khurrana's Bala film is allowed to release on November 7. There were supposed to be court hearings over this issue on November 4, after which the release date of the films were expected to change.

Abhishek had filed a complaint with the Bombay High Court earlier right after the trailer of Bala was published. Abhishek spoke to PTI regarding the issue. He told PTI, 

"There are some similarities that can be seen between Bala and Ujda Chaman. I don't know what's happening. I came with my trailer on October 1 and they came out with it around 10-11 October." 

He further added, 

So this question should be asked to them that how is it similar? If they had seen my trailer, they should have done something... At least, change something.

Abhishek Pathak told a media publication that he had sent a notice to Maddock Films when Bala was announced. The lead of Ujda Chaman, Sunny Singh also opened up about his film being similar to Ayushmann's film Bala. Sunny Singh talked to PTI, he said,

"I am away from all of this. I am doing a film, I am also getting to know that this film (Bala) is kind of similar. Initially you feel like 'why and how is this happening?' but then you feel it's ok. He's playing his part, I am playing mine. We both are actors doing our jobs. I love him and I'm a fan of his acting."

After this chaos, Ujda Chaman has successfully captured a new release date. Ujda Chaman is all set to release a week before Bala. The makers of Ujda Chaman have released a new poster of the film that has a new release date.

The new release date of Ujda Chaman is now November 1 while Bala will release on November 7
