Bhumi Pednekar talks about her experience as a 'Revolver Dadi'

Bhumi Pednekar has made some critically acclaimed choices in her acting career. Bhumi reportedly accepts bold and extravagant roles that some novice actors might be afraid to take. After her debut movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha opposite Ayushmann Khurrana, Bhumi went through an intense workout regime and diet plan to shred her extra weight. Now, the newcomer is going to be seen playing the role of sharpshooter Dadi Chandro Tomar in Saand Ki Aankh. 

Dadi Chandro Tomar has been the national shooting champion 25 times. The 87-year-old shooter held a pistol for the first time when she was 60 years old. Chandro Dadi is famously known as 'Revolver Dadi' because of her excellent shooting skills. The mother of six has proven that age is just a number and it is never too late for anything.

Bhumi talks about her experience playing the role of Chandro Tomar

Bhumi Pednekar was asked about playing the role of Revolver Dadi at the age of 30. The Toilet star replied that she finds the life of Chandro Tomar very interesting and it is a special role that not many people get to play. Bhumi also added that Dadi Tomar has created her legacy by changing the beliefs of many sceptical people. Continuing, she mentioned that it was not only challenging but also a responsibility for her to portray the role of such a lovely yet inspiring grandma. Bhumi Pednekar felt happy while filming for Saand Ki Aankh and enjoyed being the reel-life 'Revolver Dadi.'

The biopic movie is going to release on October 25, 2019. The movie also stars Taapsee Pannu who is playing the character of Prakashi Tomar, sister-in-law of Chandro Tomar. Tushar Hiranandani is debuting as a director in Bollywood with Saand Ki Aankh. Fans of Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu are excited to see them in the avatar of these tough shooter grandmas.
