A suspense thriller, when done right can provide the audience with an unnerving viewing experience. The films in this genre evidently want to keep the viewers on the edge of their seat and keeping them guessing throughout the film's runtime. Suspense films often build-up to an unexpected twist at the end. Without giving away heavy spoilers, here are a few suspense thrillers from Bollywood that people can enjoy watching to be engrossed in the film till the very last scene.

1) Kahaani (2012)

The film revolves around a pregnant woman searching for her missing husband in the city of Kolkata. The film features Vidya Balan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. Kahaani was one of the first female-led thrillers made in Bollywood. Made on a budget of eight crores, the film went on to earn over 100 crores at the box office. The film has many awards in its bag including three National Film Awards.

2) Talaash (2012)

The film features Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukerji in pivotal roles. The film takes quite a few unexpected turns through its runtime. Aamir plays a police officer coming to terms with his son's death while solving a high profile murder case. Though the film's ending was much discussed, Kareena and Aamir's performances were applauded by the critics and audiences alike. The emotional connect of the film drives it to make it one of the best thrillers to come from Bollywood.

3) Karthik  Calling Karthik (2010)

The film revolves around the protagonist receiving calls from himself from time to time. The speculated alternate version of the protagonist calls him to better his life, with a shocking revelation at the end. Some may consider the film to be a slow burner, as the mainstream audience evidently is not accustomed to slow storytelling. The film features Farhan Akhtar and Deepika Padukone in lead roles.
