Mouni Roy who was last seen in the movie Made In China alongside Rajkummar Rao. The major breakthrough in her career was the movie Gold. She was cast in the lead role opposite Akshay Kumar in the film. Mouni will next be seen in the movie Brahmastra. The movie is directed by Ayan Mukerji. He is one of the well-known filmmakers of Bollywood and best friends with Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, Mouni Roy posted a picture with Ayan Mukerji on her Instagram.

In the picture, Ayan Mukerji is seen posing for a picture with Mouni Roy. Mouni looked adorable in an all-black attire whereas Ayan kept it casual with a T-shirt and pants. She captioned the picture as, "Mythical magical creatures, #BrãhamastrãCálls."

Mouni Roy and Ayan Mukerji are working together on an upcoming film, Brahmastra. The movie stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. It also features Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles. Reportedly, Mouni is playing a negative role in the movie. The movie is slated to hit the theatres in 2020. Alia Bhatt, when asked about Brahmastra, said that the movie has its roots in mythology. She added that she and Ranbir have always maintained that Brahmastra is not a superhero film; it is a mystical fantasy drama. She further said that it is a new film that is emerging in our industry and it could be a film that will make this industry proud and put them on a global pedestal. She wrapped up her statement saying that there's immense faith in Ayan's vision.

Mouni Roy was last seen in Made In China. She has two more upcoming movies for the coming year. This includes Mogul- The Gulshan Kumar Story and Mahabharata.
