Chunky Panday is famously known for his roles in movies like the Housefull series, Tezaab, Aag Hi Aag and more. His solo hit was Parda Hai Parda in 1992. Originally named Suyash Panday, he later changed his stage name to Chunky Panday when he joined the film industry.
During his initial years in the industry, multi-starrer films were not really the box office trend as much as single hero movies were. There were two major categories; an actor could either be a romantic hero or an action hero. But Chunky found his own forte in comedy and chose to excel in comedy roles instead of the mainstream ones.
This year, Chunky starred in multiple blockbuster hits including Saaho and Prassthanam. Chunky played the character of Devraj in Saaho. Saaho also starred Shraddha Kapoor, and Bahubali star Prabhas, the movie was a huge success, making over ₹130 crores at the Box Office. Chunky Panday played a Gangster named Kaali in Prassthanam and was loved by the fans. Competing with Ayushmann Khurrana’s Dream Girl, Prassthanam made a decent collection of over ₹3 crores on its first day.
Another movie Chunky will be a part of this year would be Houseful 4. Chunky has been a part of the Housefull series since the start. The cast of Housefull 4 also includes Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, and Bobby Deol. Panday will, as usual, retain his role of 'Akhri Pasta' in the film.
Chunky Panday has another fun-filled movie planned out this year, which is Saif Ali Khan’s Jawaani Jaaneman. The movie also stars Tabu. This film will mark Pooja Bedi’s daughter, Alaia Furniturewala’s debut into Bollywood. The film’s release date is yet to be confirmed. Chunky Panday has also reportedly been roped in for Khalliballi: Fun Unlimited.
