Darbar: Motion poster for the much awaited Rajinikanth film now out

Darbar is an upcoming Tamil action thriller film that will star the massively popular actor Rajinikanth in the leading role. The motion poster for the film was highly anticipated by fans of Rajinikanth, who even made the film trend on Twitter several days before the scheduled date for the poster's release. Today on November 7, 2019, the motion poster for Darbar has finally been released on the official YouTube channel of the production house.

Above is the announcement that was made by Lyca Productions, informing fans about the now released motion poster. The caption for the post has all the links to the motion poster. The poster has not only been released in Tamil but has also been released in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam, though the only difference between the four versions is that the final title screen has Darbar written in a different language. The Tamil version of the motion poster has already received over 455k views in under an hour, while the Telugu version has around 148k views. The poster depicts Rajinikanth wearing a police uniform, over which he dons a jacket. Then we see him wield a bloody sword with which he cuts down an unseen enemy. Finally, the motion poster ends with the final still-shot of Rajinikanth sitting on a chair, holding onto the hilt of the sword while its tip is pressing into the ground below. A few corpses lie around Rajinikanth, while the background is filled with what seem to be criminals, who are looking at him with fear and amazement.

Darbar will not only feature Rajinikanth but will also star actors Sriman, Nayanthara, Prateik Babbar and Nivetha Thomas. The movie is directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Allirajah Subaskaran. Darbar is set to release on January 15, 2019, and will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu.
