Deepika Padukone and PV Sindhu come together for a photoshoot

Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone and badminton ace PV Sindhu have come together for the special shoot to celebrate the anniversary of a leading magazine. The cover also features the chairperson of Biocon, Kiran Mazumdar Shaw. All the three women look stunning on the special cover. The trio also speak about their careers and women in their respective industries.

Deepika is seen donning a brown camisole dress and layered it with a nude jacket. On the other hand, PV Sindhu wears a brown coloured, thigh-slit dress and a red-brown jacket. The two wear minimalistic makeup and are in a messy hair-do. The trio embodies beauty, determination and strength of women across the world.

Will Deepika star in PV Sindhu’s biopic?

There have been reports that suggest that Deepika Padukone might star in a Hindi film biopic to be made on PV Sindhu. Actor Sonu Sood has recently announced that he has bagged the rights for the biopic. Recently, in an interview with a leading national daily, Sindhu herself expresses how she would like Deepika to play her in the film.

Deepika would be like fish in the water if she goes on to play the part. She is the daughter of former Indian badminton champion, Prakash Padukone. It is also speculated that Sonu himself will play the role of Sindhu’s coach, Pullela Gopichand who was also a legendary badminton player back in his heydays. The film is expected to go on floors by the end of 2019.

Other biopics on sportspersons

Meanwhile, biopics on sportspersons is a trend in Bollywood. Deepika is also currently working alongside hubby Ranveer Singh in ’83. which is based on India's 1983 Cricket World Cup winning captain, Kapil Dev. The film has recently wrapped up its filming and is slated for an April 2020 release.

A biopic on another badminton star, Saina Nehwal is in the pipeline as well. Parineeti Chopra will be seen essaying the role of Nehwal in the film and not Shraddha Kapoor as reported earlier. It is being directed by Amole Gupte and is in the shooting process right now.
