Deepika has been a Sabyasachi loyalist. The actress wore the designer's creations at her wedding last year. In an interview with a fashion website, Sabyasachi spoke about Deepika and her planning for the wedding outfits with Ranveer Singh, "Deepika knew everything, she knew who she was getting married to and why she was getting married. She knew the colour of her outfit, she knew the jewellery that she wanted to wear, her flowers. She even knew the idly and the South Indian coffee that was going to be served to the guests when they woke up every morning."

 

On the professional front

Deepika Padukone recently announced that she will be starring an adaptation of the Mahabharata. The film will be from the viewpoint of the Panchala princess Draupadi. Deepika Padukone will also be co-producing the film as well. She currently wrapped up the shooting of Chhapaak. The film is based on the life of an acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. The film will be releasing in January 2020. The actor will be further seen in ’83 opposite her husband Ranveer Singh. The film is based on Indian cricketer, Kapil Dev. The film is currently being shot and will release in April 2020.

Chhapaak

Chhapaak is an upcoming Hindi language film. The movie is directed by Meghna Gulzar and is set to release on January 10, 2020. The movie is being produced by Deepika Padukone and Meghna Gulzar in collaboration with Fox Star Studios. It will release all over India.

Meanwhile, ‘DeepVeer’ are all set to work together for the first time after their marriage. They will feature in Kabir Singh’s ‘83. The shooting of the movie has been completed. Ranveer Singh plays the role of Kapil Dev, legendary all-rounder and captain of India’s World-Cup-winning campaign in 1983. Deepika plays the role of Kapil Dev’s wife, Romi Dev in the movie. It will hit the theatres in April 2020.
