Ranveer Singh's funny take on badminton match with Deepika Padukone

Ranveer Singh had a funny take on starting his day with a badminton match against Deepika Padukone. He said he was beaten by his wife, but it was good workout.

Ranveer Singh might have become an ace at cricket after he shot for ‘83, the film based on India’s historic 1983 World Cup victory. However, he absolutely doesn’t stand a chance as far as badminton is concerned when he plays opposite Deepika Padukone. The Dil Dhadakne Do star didn’t have any qualms in being beaten comprehensively by his wife, at a game she represented on a national level and her father Prakash Padukone made the country proud with. The 34-year-old revealed that getting beaten by his co-star of many films was how he started his day recently, but it was a good workout nonetheless.

Ranveer Singh recently spoke to his fans on Instagram live, where this particular statement of his made headlines, “I’m enjoying my day. Started my day, getting my a** beaten in badminton by my wife. But it was a good workout,” he reveals on Instagram. We wonder what Deepika has to say about the way Ranveer put it. 

On the professional front, Ranveer is all set to feature in Karan Johar’s next Takht. He shared that the narration given by Karan Johar had really blown his mind. He termed the story as ‘stellar writing material.”

Ranveer Singh is currently in the news for the clean-shaven look that he is sporting. It is being rumoured that he is building his look for Takht. The movie, as per reports, is gearing up for shooting at the start of next year. Takht also stars Anil Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Janhvi Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar.

Ranveer also revealed during his Instagram live session that he is gearing up to prep for Jayeshbhai Jordaar as well. The movie brings him back to the banner that launched him, Yash Raj Films. He had shot to limelight with Band Baaja Baraat with the banner, though his next two movies for the production house, Kill Dil and Befikre didn’t live up to expectations.

Meanwhile, Ranveer and Deepika are also set to feature together in ‘83. While Ranveer plays the role of captain Kapil Dev, Deepika will enact the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev. The multi-starrer directed by Kabir Khan hits the theatres on April 10, 2020.
