Kartik Aaryan-Sara Ali Khan no longer the 'It' couple of Bollywood?

Kartik Aaryan was rumoured to date co-star Sara Ali Khan, but according to recent reports, they have parted ways. Read to know more about their split.

The internet was taken by a storm when Sara Ali Khan, in an interview with the host of a leading television talk show confessed that she has a crush on Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor Kartik Aaryan. Rumours of them seeing each other spread like wildfire and there were also fan pages with the name "Sartik" went viral. The rumoured couple will also be seen sharing screen space with each other in Imtiaz Ali's next, reportedly titled, Aaj Kal, which is the second instalment of Love Aaj Kal which starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone.

Kartik and Sara, no more the 'It' couple of Bollywood?

The rumours fueled when the two were spotted together after they wrapped the shooting of the film, with Kartik flying to Bangkok to be with Sara on her birthday. Now, it was reported that the two have broken up. Since then, Kartik has been seen hanging out with his Pati Patni Aur Woh co-star Ananya Panday.

The actor was asked about the same in a recent media event, where he frustratingly responded saying, "Do rotiyan Ananya ke sath tod li, toh sabne puch liya. I did an ad with Mr. Bachchan and shared it on Instagram that it was on my bucket list. But no one asked me about it."  On being nudged about it further he started avoided the question and focused upon talking about his movie.

The trailer of the film recently received a lot of flak online because of its dialogue on marital rape. Kartik is seen talking to Aparshakti Khurrana, and the actor says that if a husband tries to get sex from his wife through "jugaad", he is touted as a rapist. This has made a lot of people uncomfortable as marital rape is one of the most debated topics in India and has still not been criminalised. The film, helmed by Mudassar Aziz, is slated to release on December 6, 2019.
