Ekta Kapoor serials: Television shows that were a big hit among masses

Queen of soaps, Ekta Kapoor has ruled over the TV industry for over a decade and a half. Kapoor has been producing Hindi TV serials since 1995 and even today her TV shows are ruling in the top position with massive TRP’s points. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi

This popular show was first premiered in the year 2000 and ran successfully for eight years. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi was aired on Star Plus and it was on the position one on television at that time. The show bagged Best Serial award for five consecutive years. Smriti Irani, the lead actor of the show is currently a Union Minister for Textiles. The show set a benchmark for the Ekta Kapoor production.

Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki

The popular soap opera Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki by Ekta Kapoor had some amazing cast which includes Sakshi Tanwar, Kiran Karmarkar, Aruna Irani, Ali Asgar and many others. The show launched its first episode in the year 2000 and it consistently ran for eight years. The show ended in October 2008. The show successfully completed 1661 episodes and won many awards.

Kasauti Zindagi Ki

The show garnered the attention of viewers with the chemistry between lead pair Prerna and Anurag. Kasauti Zindagi Ki made a way for many famous stars like Krystle D’Souza, Jennifer Winget, Karanvir Bohra, Surveen Chawla, Kratika Sengar and Karan Patel. These actors right now are ruling in television for their shows. Currently, a reboot of the show, also titled Kasautii Zindagii Kay, is currently on air in Star Plus.

Pavitra Rishta

Another successful show from Balaji Telefilms production is Pavitra Rishta. The show gave break to Sushant Singh Rajput, who is now making his strong presence in Bollywood industry with the films like M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story and Chhichhore. The cast of the show also includes lead actors like Ankita Lokhande, Asha Negi, Rithvik Dhanjani, Karan Mehra, Hiten Tejwani, Savita Prabhune, and much more. Pavitra Rishta consecutively ran successfully for five years.

Bade Ache Lagte Hai

The show received immense of love from viewers because of its unique storyline and the best lead pair Sakshi Tanwar and Ram Kapoor. Bade Ache Lagte Hai explored the love story of the lead pair after getting married. The show also includes Eva Grover, Ekta Kaul, Jai Karla, Sumona, Samir Kocchar. Sakshi and Ram bagged Dadasaheb Phalke award for portraying their character in the show. The show also won Kalakar award as best serial in 2012.
