EXCLUSIVE | Ayushmann Khurrana On #MeToo Movement, "It Takes Guts And Courage For A Woman To Speak" 

Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra while speaking exclusively to Republic TV raised their concern for the victims of the ongoing #MeToo movement.

Bollywood actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who is currently basking in the glory of the success of his latest film  'AndhaDhun', is gearing up for the much-awaited release of 'Badhaai Ho'. As the nation is currently under the impact of #MeToo movement with several Bollywood actors coming out and raising their voice by sharing their stories and accusing some powerful men of the industry, many celebrities including Akshay Kumar, Parineeti Chopra and Aamir Khan have raised their concern and backed the survivors for their courage.

Joining the bandwagon are 'Badhaai Ho' stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, who not only praised the survivors for coming out and speaking in public but also emphasised with them on the equal opportunity given to both the sides to prove their innocence. Sanya Malhotra, who has just started her career in the industry and is only two films old including 'Dangal' and 'Pataakha' shared her opinion on the ongoing #MeToo movement saying, "I am glad that people are coming up and talking about it. The episodes that we are reading and hearing are very disturbing and unfortunate I feel that the people who have gone through that should be supported and should be protected and I am glad that this change has come."

 

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Ayushmann, who has been a part of this industry for several years, extends his support to the victims of sexual harassment. "It's high time, in fact, it's been happening time and memorial and we are in 2018,  strict rules should be made to condemn sexual harassment and stop this completely, having said that equal opportunity should be given to both the parties to prove themselves and their innocence. It takes a lot of guts and courage to come out and openly talk about it"

'Badhaai Ho' features Ayushmann Khurana and 'Dangal' fame Sanya Malhotra. The film also stars Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. The film is also tipped to be a coming-of-age story with a tinge of romance helmed by Amit Sharma. 'Badhaai Ho' is all slated to release on October 19, 2018.
