Sonali Bendre turned 44 in style on Tuesday as she celebrated the occasion with her near and dear ones. Her husband Goldie Behl, close friends Sussanne Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Kunal Kapoor, his wife Naina Bachchan, ‘Swades’ actress Gayatri Joshi were among those who had a dual celebration for Sonali’s birthday and the New Year. The guests enjoyed the evening with drinks and wore the party hats and glasses with the words, ‘Happy New Year’ written on it.

Sonali’s close ones had touching messages for the birthday girl on the occasion. Sussanne shared a snap of the girl gang posing in style and termed Sonali, ‘precious, gorgeous warrior princess.” She added that ‘Sonzyyy’ was her ‘inspiration’ and her ‘fireball.’ The interior designer hoped they continue to motivate each other while they change the meaning of ‘play’ and welcomed the new year in pursuit of their ‘own unique diverse state of ‘curation’. 

Goldie shared an adorable picture where the couple is sharing a piece of cake together and wrote how his wife has been his ‘best friend’, ‘sounding board’, ‘mirror’, 'strength' and ‘inspiration.’ The producer lauded the actress for the ‘dignity and courage’ with which she handled the ‘tough 2018’. He said that had helped him find his strength and also inspired ‘every soul’ who followed her life.  

Goldie added that it was not easy for someone to be so positive and spread love when one is at the receiving end. The producer wished her ‘all things love’, ‘all things wonderful’ and ‘all things that bring a cheer’ to her through the year. He concluded his post by asking her to ‘switch on the sunshine’ like she always did and ‘'make this year count.’ 

Goldie also had a brilliant surprise for the birthday girl, decorating the room with balloons and the ‘Happy Birthday’ decoration. The actress shared a video from when she entered the room and thanked her husband for the ‘fabulous’ surprise.

News of Sonali being diagnosed with cancer last year had shocked people who know her, but her positive attitude following that has been amazing. After treatment in the United States of America, the actress recently returned to India.
