Kangana Ranaut has been in the news lately thanks to her upcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. In between all the promotions for her film, the actress did not forget to enjoy the holiday season. Kangana celebrated the New Year's eve but in her own unique way.

Kangana Ranaut has been in the news lately thanks to her upcoming film 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'. In between all the promotions for her film, the actress did not forget to enjoy the holiday season. Kangana celebrated the New Year's eve but it was not in the form of a grand party.

The actress spent the special occasion with her family at her cottage in Manali. She took the time off from her busy schedule to spend time with sister Rangoli and family. Her sister also shared a couple of pictures featuring Kangana and family in the cosy Manali cabin. 

In one click, everyone can be seen enjoying some samosas as Kangana is holding her nephew Prithviraj. She captioned it as, "When roads are jammed, it’s samosa party at home!! #ringinginnewyeras #2019 #Mountainlife# Happy new year everyone." 

Another click from the family get-together shows Kangana donning the chef's hat as she can be seen cooking something. Turns out that it is Gajar Ka Halwa as revealed by Rangoli as she captioned it as, "Family time  #gajarkahalwa #winters #cookingcompetition  #lilsis #Manali".

Overall, it is heartwarming to see her spending quality time with people who matter the most. Coming to 'Manikarnika', the film has already garnered a lot of attention thanks to the riveting trailer. The actress also confessed recently that she had always wanted to direct films and that she never really identified as an actress. According to her, the direction part has always been her first love and calling. She also got candid about the film and said that she did not feel confident until she finally got to do both direction and acting.

Based on the life of the brave queen of Jhansi Rani Laxmibai, 'Manikarnika' is all set to release to January 25.
