Janhvi Kapoor-Ishaan Khatter reunite, goof around with 'Sholay' line

Two singles who often hang out together are immediately tagged ‘rumoured couples’ in the world of Bollywood. One such pair in this category has been Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor, whose link-up rumours have been going on, much before they were announced as the lead pair of Dhadak. Not just the two stars, even their family members have denied that the youngsters are a couple, but are good friends. Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor once again reiterated that they are just friends when they made a joint appearance on a TV show. The duo, not just bonded big time on the show, but also goofed around with Sholay’s iconic song Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge.

Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter were one of the first guests on actor-TV host Maniesh Paul’s latest show. The duo shot for it on Wednesday. The former was dressed in a yellow top and striped short dress, while the latter wore a grey ensemble. The pictures and videos from the shoot surfaced on social media. The duo even posed with a placard of Sholay’s track Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge. What’s interesting is a boomerang video when Ishaan hits Janhvi on the head with the placard. Sharing one such moment on her Instagram stories, Janhvi quipped, “Par yeh sir zaroor todega’. It’d be interesting to see the newcomers’ chemistry when the episode will air.

Dhadak success 

Ishaan and Janhvi’s ‘Dhadak’ was a success at the box office, earning close to Rs 75 crore at the box office in India. The movie, directed by Shashank Khaitan, was an official adaptation of Marathi blockbuster Sairat starring Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar. The movie was produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Zee Studios. The success of the film, that released in 2018, has laid a platform for the two, as both have multiple films in their kitty now. Ishaan has signed Khaali Peeli and Mira Nair’s next. Janhvi is gearing up for numerous films like Roohi-Afza, Gunjan Saxena- The Kargil Girl, Dostana 2 and Takht. All these films are gearing up for release next year.
