Jhund movie to feature Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2019 winner Amitabh Bachchan as NGO founder Mr. Vijay Barse. Know what Mr. Bachchan is tweeting about it.

Jhund is an upcoming Indian biographical sports drama. It is based on the life of Vijay Barse, a retired sports teacher and a social worker. Mr Barse founded an NGO for destitute children known as Slum Soccer. Vijay Barse and his NGO were also featured in an episode on Aamir Khan’s show, Satyameva Jayate. Reportedly, Aamir Khan had personally urged actor Amitabh Bachchan to take up the movie Jhund.

Jhund movie cast

Amitabh Bachchan will play the lead role in the movie. Sairaat actors Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar will also star in the upcoming sports biopic. Nagraj Manjule, director of Sairaat, has directed Jhund. Actor Ganesh Deshmukh will also be featured in the movie. The filming of the movie began in December 2018. The shooting has now been wrapped up. Producer Bhushan Kumar shared the release date and the official poster of the movie on Twitter. The poster features Amitabh Bachchan, as he is lifted in the air by a group of people. The movie is set to release on September 20, 2019. 

Considering that Amitabh Bachchan is the latest recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2019, it is likely that the Jhund movie will garner even more attention than the team expected. With such talented cast and crew having worked on the movie, the movie is reportedly expected to be a masterpiece.
