Every '90s kid remembers Johnny Lever. He featured in almost every film in the decade as the comic relief. His sheer talent as a comic artist won him fans and film offers and he worked with the best actors in the business. The actor's personal life is not known about as much, but fans have always been loyal to his films and appreciated his performances.

He born in Andhra Pradesh and raised in King's Circle, Mumbai. He dropped out of school due to financial problems. To make ends meet, Johnny did odd jobs like imitating Bollywood stars and dancing to their songs. He was good at mimicry and was invited to perform at the factory he worked. He gained a lot of fame and joined the Kalyanji-Anandji music group. In the late 80s, he sold cassettes which had his mimicry and stand-up jokes recorded. They were hugely popular and that brought him to Bollywood's attention. Since then, he has not looked back.
